Braun Thompson, Director, Corporate Compliance Assurance at PPG, is responsible for leading the corporate audit program for EHS and Product Stewardship with a focus on compliance with regulatory and PPG requirements. The program covers 208 facilities across 70 countries and 12 business units. Braun has 30 years of EHS experience with the first 15 years spent in chemical manufacturing plants in various EHS and process safety roles of increasing responsibilities. The second half of his career has been in a number of staff positions in PPG's corporate and business unit organizations. Mr. Thompson has experience ranging from organizational leadership, EHS program development, environmental compliance, waste management, management system development, acquisitions, and divestitures and talent development. Braun is a graduate of Murray State University with a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health and holds an MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
